WORKSHOP REPORT
Our workshop started on 21st
August 2017 at 9.30.our workshops chief master is sri Dr Sajan k. The
inauguration is done by our principal Dr Lakshmi Nair, in the presence of Dr
Ambili Aravind, the authority of M.Ed.
class. Each and every day was very informative and valuable.
First day was started through word
presentation and in the following days powerpoint presentation, Microsoft
excel, audiocity,image and video editing and blog creation. Each and every
point in that workshop was very important because it is useful in reaserch
paper.
Web Based Learning
Web
based learning is one way to learn, using web based technologies or tools in a
learning process. In other words learner uses mainly computers to interact with
the teacher, other students and learning material.
Pure
web based learning are wholly based on computer and online possibilities. In
this case, all the communication and learning activities are done online. On
the other hand, web based courses may have some face to face sessions besides
the distant learning tasks.
Web based learning can be also
formal and informal. Formal web based learning is purposed and learning
activities are organized by teachers. Informal learning takes place while you
are searching material from the internet. It is self-based, depending on your
goals and ambition to learn.
Some important points are,
· Also
called online learning or e-learning.
· E-learning
includes online course content.
· Discussion
points via email, video conferencing and live lectures are possible through the
web.
· Provide
static pages such as printed course material.
· Any
time instruction delivered over the internet or a corporate intranet to browser
–equipped learners.
· Synchronous
[instructor facilitated] and asynchronous [self-directed, self-paced] are the
two primary models of e-learning.
E-Learning
E-Learning
A
learning system based on formalized teaching but with the help of electronic
resources is known as e-learning. While teaching can be based in or out of the
classrooms, the use of computers and the internet forms the major component of
e-learning. E-learning can also be termed as a network enabled transfer of
skills and knowledge, and the delivery of education made to a large number of
recipients at the same or different times. Earlier it was not accepted
wholeheartedly it was assumed that this system lacked the human element
required in learning.
The
delivery of a learning, training or education program by electronic means. E-learning
involves the use of a computer or electronic device in some way to provide
training, educational or learning material.
E-Recourse
An
electronic recourse is defined as a resource which require computer access in
any electronic product that delivers a collection of data, be it text referring
to full text bases, electronic journals, image collection, other multi-media
products and numerical, graphical or time based, as a commercially available
title.
An
electronic communication is defined as ‘any transfer of signs, signals, writing,images,sounds,data
or intelligence of nature transmitted in whole or in part by a wire, radio,
electromagnetic, photo electronics system that affects interstate or foreign
commerce.
Forums
Public
medium [such as a newspaper column] or place used for debates in which anyone
can participate. In Roman times it meant a public place at the center of a
market or town where open discussions on judicial, political and other issues
were held.
Forum
is an area where users share thoughts, ideas, or help by posting text messages.
Forums are different from chat because it is almost never live and can be read
at any time. Basically forum is a public meeting or assembly for open
discussion or a public facility to meet for open discussion.
Blogs
A blog is a frequently updated online personnel
journal or diary. It is a place to express yourself to the world. A place to
share your thoughts and your passions. Really, it is anything you want it to
be. For our purpose we will say that a blog is your own website that you are going
to update on an ongoing basis. Blog is a short form for the world weblog and
the two words are used interchangeably.
Bulletin Board
Bulletin Board
A
bulletin board is a surface intended for the posting of public messages, for e.g.,
to advertise items wanted or for sale, announce events, or provide information’s.
Bulletin
boards are often made of a material such as cork to facilitate addition and
removal messages, as well as a writing surface such as blackboard or
whiteboard. Bulletin board can also be entirely in the digital domain and
placed on computer networks so people can leave and erase messages for other
people to read and see, as in a bulletin board system.
